Suggest Coursework for the Website

Introduction

Early Educator Central is a website designed to serve as a coursework portal supporting infant-toddler educators. It is jointly funded by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Administration for Children and Families, Office of Child Care, and Office of Head Start. The website promotes the attainment of degrees and credentials for infant-toddler educators by using existing federal- and state-funded resources. It provides an index of coursework for both center-based and home-based child care providers, offering these courses at low or no cost through direct links to the professional development (PD) provider's learning management system.

In addition to the website's existing professional development offerings, links to additional coursework or materials from PD providers that meet specific criteria can also be added. Please note that commercial materials are not eligible for the website. For inclusion on Early Educator Central, a course should be:

  • public and low cost
  • developed or vetted by a federal or state partner or recognized entity
  • designed for one of the website's four audiences
  • developed using evidence- or research-based practices
